New Zealand University (NZU) Rugby

Becoming a member of the Otago University Rugby Football Club affords you the opportunity to play for your country. Only by playing Varsity rugby and undertaking tertiary study can you be eligible to wear the black jersey. There are two levels of NZU rugby available to you as a player:

NZU Seniors: This side plays an international match every year and an overseas tour every second year.
NZU Under 21: This team tours internally every year with a tour of North America every second year.

John Hyde Strive to join the long list of players who have attended Otago University, played rugby at the Otago University Rugby Football Club and gone on to higher honours. When considering what club to play for in 2016, make OURFC your first choice. You will be with people in the same position as you, playing competitive rugby and enjoying the social aspect of the club and campus life. I look forward to witnessing your endeavours in 2016 and getting to know you in our club rooms.

John Hyde, Club Captain
